Requirements • Bachelor’s degree/College diploma in related field and/or formal QA training • 2-4 years experience in a QA Analyst role • Experience in the financial industry • Familiarity with the Canadian mortgage industry is an asset • Sound technical knowledge of internet technology, browsers and Windows operating systems • Experience with manual testing and using automated testing tools (ie. Winrunner) • Ability to write SQL queries in order to validate database information • Strong desire to be a "hands-on" contributor • Strong team orientation and collaboration is a must • Ability to take initiative and build consensus amongst groups • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and customer service skills
Description • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes • Develop and document test scenarios, scripts and cases, and participate in development of the test environment, as appropriate • Utilize a positive and negative testing strategy in order to maximize test coverage • Log, follow and escalate defects encountered through to resolution • Provide reporting to project managers and management in respect of project schedules • Plan and prioritise workload according to project schedule • Complete delegated tasks on schedule • Seek clarification regarding the priorities of delegated tasks when workload is heavy • Work in compliance with all relevant internal and external Risk Management standards and protocols • Liaise with Application Developers and Business Representatives
